Day 28 hour 1

Tony sat in the wheel chair for 2 hours today. He was crossing his left leg on top of his right leg. More movement than I've seen before on the left side. The physical therapist asked him what his brothers name was and he mouthed "Matt". The therapist didn't know what Matt's name was and asked us if that was his brother's name (it is)! Later I asked him to say it again and he made a noise with his voice as well as mouthed it! Mike is jealous that his first word wasn't "dad". We still would like him to be able to eat before he goes to rehab so they don't need to put another tube in him so please keep praying.

  1. I haven't checked this blog in a week. HELLO!! I can't believe the progress! Absolutely fantastic!

How overjoyed you must be! We continue to pray. Bless you!

  2. I think his first word should have been "Daniel." Although I'm more surprised that it wasn't "Sequoia."

Please let him know that I am praying for him and I will visit him the minute he arrives in Downey.

  5. Wow... First, I cannot believe this happened! I was shocked when I heard about all of this. Second, I cannot believe Tony's progress... Well that's not entirely true - I believe in the Lord of lords and God of gods! You know, the One who created heaven and earth and all things that are in them? Yeah, that God, Jesus Christ!

Anyway, I practically feel like I know Matt, the son in England through Tony and Mike, yet I didn't really know any of the really well. I got to speak with Mike and Tony while on sight supporting some work at Boeing in Huntington Beach. Both Mike and Tony were two of the main guys I used to look forward to seeing if I ever had to travel out there! As I recall, I think Mike and I differed on some non-essentials of the scriptures, but I have prayed for him and for Tony at times past. As for their son, the only thing I knew about him was that he was a Calvary Chapel pastor in England I think? That was one of our connections as I fellowship at a Calvary Chapel here in the Finger Lakes of New York State.

Why am I rambling about all this? I have no idea except maybe to give Tony something to read and get a kick out of. :)

I am glad that you are recovering Tony. I'm even more glad of what the Lord might do through your trial - such travail, such turmoil and such tribulations we go through, but nothing need be lost! The Lord knows the thoughts that He has toward us; thoughts of peace and not of evil, and to give us an expected end. (Jer 29:11)

May Jesus be glorified in your life and in every life around you, Tony!

OK, did I even mention who I am? :)

My name is Bruce Borsa, and I word for Harris Corp. in Rochester, NY.

    Get well soon Tony!
