Day 18 hour 9

Tony has been getting stronger and more responsive by the hour. They have music they can turn on for him in his bed. They had classical on for him and I said "oh, they have nice music on for you". He shook his head yes. He has been opening his eyes when the nurses ask him to. The nurses have all been excited to see his progress. One nurse told us it was really a miracle to see his progress because they didn't think he was going to make it.

    Great news! Really excited about the progress Tony's been having these last few days. Read some Psalms to him. He will hear your voice and hear God's Word. I went through Psalms 23 & 27 a few times with him. Psalms 1, 34, 37, 40, 46, 61, 103, 121, 136, 139.

    If you take one Psalm a day and read it to him around 3 times in the day. He will be able to meditate on the words. Read them nice and slow for Tony so he can consider the words as you go. Hearing it a few times each day will help him hold onto them. Pray with him also and encourage him that he can pray silently. But praying with him will help him and lead him in this time.
